Tim Holtz Licensee-in-Charge
Tim began his funeral career assisting Charlie Spurgeon in 1973 while a junior at Doddridge County High School. After graduating in 1975, he attended Fairmont State College and is an honor graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Tim holds a West Virginia Funeral Director and Embalming License and a West Virginia Insurance License. Tim is a member of Fellowship Bible Church and the West Union Lions Club. He is the son of the late Clarence and Eleanor VanScoy Holtz. Tim and his wife, Connie Yeater Holtz, have three sons, Ryan, Jason and wife, Elizabeth, and Arron Holtz. They have one grandson, Jackson Lucas Holtz.
Mary Beth Cox Secretary/Receptionist
Mary Beth Bonnell Cox has been the secretary/receptionist for the funeral home since January, 2001. She follows in the footsteps of her mother, Mary Bonnell, who was a 30 year employee of Spurgeon's.
Mary Beth is a 1968 graduate of DCHS and is married to Denver Cox. They are the proud parents of three daughters, Shaun, Angela and Erin. They have five grandchildren. Mary Beth is a member of the Rock Run Wesleyan Methodist Church and is a long-time volunteer with the American Red Cross.
