Nancy Noreen Holden

October 8, 1939 - July 16, 2015

Nancy Noreen Holden, 75, of West Union passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 in Mon General Hospital, Morgantown surrounded by her family. She was born October 8, 1939 in Doddridge County a daughter of the late Creed and Ruth Ramsey Shepherd. She is survived by three daughters, Theodora (Tammy) Holden, West Union, Michelle Brewer and husband Jason, West Union, Ruth Harvath and husband Mark, Fairmont, four sons, Creed Holden and wife Tammy, Fairmont, Gregory Holden, Parkersburg, Randall Holden and wife Melinda, Salem, Robert Holden and Sherri Bailey, West Union, grandchildren, Nolan Harvath, Morgantown, Colin Harvath, Fairmont, Hunter Newton, Fairmont, McKenzie Newton, West Union, Jackson Holden, West Union, Bailey Holden, West Union, Dwight Holden, Zachary Holden, Gregory Holden II, Cadiz, OH, Parker Holden, West Union, Kelby Holden, West Union, Addy Morris, Morgantown, Megan Kelley, Fairmont, great grandchildren, Raya Jolyn Morrison, Easton Holden, Rykr Holden, Porter Morris, Elsa Morris and one brother, Robert (Bob) Shepherd and wife Donna, Ellenboro. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Creed and Ida Shepherd and Thomas and Florence Ramsey. Nancy had worked for the garment factory for several years in West Union and was a stay at home Mother. She enjoyed, reading, sewing, quilting, cooking and was an avid sports fan. Nancy especially enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports. Nancy was a Christian and was a member of the Morgans Run E.U.B. Church Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St, West Union on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 1:00PM with Pastor Robert Metz officiating. Interment will follow in the Robinson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 4-8PM and after 9AM on Tuesday until time of service.
