Reverend John ‘Chuck” Hart Jr., 77, of Miletus went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 13, 2010. He was born August 13, 1932 in Oxford a son of the late John W. and Nancy Gaston Hart the youngest of 13 children. His wife of 53 years Barbara Swann Hart survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dennis Wayne Hart and wife Diane, Sandyville, Rick Lynn Hart and wife Monica, Miletus, two daughters, Teresa Renee Hart-Plaugher and husband Jim, Cincinnati, OH, Christine Diane Hart, Richmond, VA, 12 grandchildren whom he adored, Dennisha Hart-Pauley and husband Joe, Dareth Hart-Swentzel and husband Adam, Andrew Hart, Andrea Wigal and husband Joe, Christopher and Shane Lipps, Haley Hart, Chandra, Marisa and Rachel Plaugher, McKhal Hart, five great grandchildren, Devin Pauley, Brayden and Corey Swentzel, Ethan and Toby Fry and one sister, Phame Trent, West Union. One son, Shawn Lee Hart, two grandchildren, Whitney and Victoria Hart, three brothers, Ronnie, James and Victor Hart, eight sisters, Ruby Husk, Macel Cox, Irene Cox, Wilma Robinson, Ellen Hart, Lottie Trent, Bernice Cator and Delores Brown preceded him in death. Mr. Hart was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict on the USS Missouri. He was retired from Consolidated Natural Gas Company with 33 years service as a well tender. He was a member, founder and former pastor of The Mission of Faith Church, Big Isaac. He was also a former pastor of The Sawyers Run Community Church, West Milford Community Church and the Long Run Community Church. During his 44 years of ministry, Rev. Hart preached numerous revivals in West Virginia and surrounding states. His service and dedication to God and his family will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 17, 2010 in the Mission of Faith Church, Big Isaac at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bill Lanham and Rev. Dave Cumpston presiding. Rev. Hart will lie in state one hour prior to his service. Interment will follow in the Big Isaac Cemetery, Big Isaac. Family and friends will be received in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Thursday, April 15th, from 6-8PM and Friday April 16th from 2-8PM.
