Carolyn Uhl

Carolyn Cogar Uhl, 78, of West Union departed this life on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born at West Union on August 14, 1943 a daughter of the late Troy and Edith Mae Carpenter Pratt. Her husband Duane J.Uhl survives. Also surviving is Carol Gene Cogar Sr. the father of her children, three daughters, Mary Jane Guiles (Brent), Bellefontane, OH, Edna Jean Jones (Companion Stan Chriseman), Edith Idell Rhodes (Will), Bellefontane, OH, one son, Carol Gene Cogar Jr. (Fiancé Sherry Collins), West Union, ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She is also leaves behind her much-loved canine friend, Buddy. One daughter preceded her in death, Julie Mae Russell. Carolyn had worked for Doddridge County Senior Citizens as a Cook at the Fairview Restaurant. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 56 Front St. West Union on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Danny Lipscomb presiding. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, February 3, 2022 after 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Spurgeon Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Uhl/Cogar family.
