Beulah S. Stewart

July 12, 1914 - October 15, 2009

Beulah S. Stewart, 95, of West Union passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009. She was born on July 12, 1914 in Canton, WV a daughter of the late Charles Fred and Gussie Freeman Brown. Her husband, Donald Stewart, preceded her in death on March 23, 1994. Surviving are one daughter, Sarah Margaret Maston and husband, Charles, West Union, one son, David Stewart and wife, Sharon, Parkersburg, four grandchildren, Michael Maston, Mark Stewart, Melissa Maston, Kelly Toothman, four great grandchildren, Ashley Lambert, Bradley Maston, Lynn Toothman, Ryan Toothman and two sisters, Ruth Hayhurst and Helen Katzen. She was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Brown and Donald Brown and sisters, Bernadine Tucker and Mabel Taggart. Beulah was a life long member of the West Union Christian Church and was a frequent visitor at Faith Baptist Church, a member of the Doddridge County Senior Citizens and the Cornerstone Homemakers Extension Club. She and Don had been the owners and operators of the Stewart Dairy Bar and Texaco in West Union. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 11:00AM in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union with Pastor Tom Waters and Pastor Jim Messenger officiating. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park, West Union. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8PM in the funeral home chapel.
